Take a card payment on a standalone terminal

With Standalone Device as the provider, you take the payment on your own terminal, then tell the POS whether it was authorised.

With Standalone Device as your payment provider, you take the card payment on your own terminal. Then you tell the POS whether it was authorised.

Before you start

  • POS Settings > Payments set to Standalone Device. See Choose your card payment provider.

Steps

  1. Tap Checkout.

  2. Tap Exact under Card.

  3. Take the payment on the terminal.

  4. The POS asks "Was this payment authorised?". Tap Authorised if the terminal approved it.

What you should see

The sale completes and a new basket starts.
