Take a cash payment and give change

Tap the note the customer hands over, or Exact. The POS shows the amount paid and the change.

When a customer pays cash, tap the note they hand over, or Exact. The POS shows the amount paid and the change to give.

Before you start

  • Items in the basket.

Steps

  1. Tap Checkout.

  2. Tap the cash button that matches what the customer hands over. The cash buttons round up from the amount due. For example, for a £25 basket the cash buttons are £25, £30, £40 and £50.

  3. Read Amount Paid and Change. For example, £30 handed over for a £25 basket shows Amount Paid £30.00 and Change £5.00.

  4. Tap Done.

What you should see

A new basket starts.

Good to know

  • Exact pays the amount due with no change.

  • ... lets you type the amount tendered.
