Stock Invoices

Add stock with a stock invoice from the store's Goods Received tab in Shopwave Admin.

Written by Andrew Lau

Stock invoices add stock to Shopwave and record details such as the cost price and supplier. To remove stock, use Wastage.

Steps

  1. In Shopwave Admin, click Stores.

  2. On the store's row, click Goods Received. Your previous stock invoices are listed here.

  3. Click + New.

  4. Enter the supplier details. They fill in automatically if you have entered them before.

  5. Start typing a product name and choose it from the list. You can only add products that are already in your product list.

  6. Enter the quantity, and a cost price if you want profit margins in your reports.

  7. Click Complete when you have added all the products on the invoice.

The quantities on the invoice are added to your stock levels.

If stock was negative

If you sold more of a product than you had in stock, it is listed under ACTION REQUIRED. Choose one:

  • Reset the stock level to 0, then add the new stock.

  • Reset the stock level to 0 without adding new stock. This creates a separate store invoice for the stock needed to reach 0.

  • Add the new stock to the negative level, without resetting it.

Add the unit cost for any extra stock your choice adds, then click Complete.

Good to know

  • A stocktake that finds extra stock creates an invoice under your merchant name, called a store invoice. Store invoices are hidden unless you untick the box under the list.

  • If you make a mistake, complete another invoice, or adjust stock with a stocktake or wastage.
