Log in on an iPad for the first time

The first time you open the POS you sign in with your Shopwave account, then choose a 4-digit ID and PIN for this iPad.

The first time you open the POS on an iPad, you sign in with your Shopwave account. Then you choose a 4-digit user ID and PIN for this iPad.

Before you start

  • Your Shopwave account email and password.

  • The POS installed. See Install the POS from TestFlight.

Steps

  1. On Welcome to Shopwave!, tap Get Started.

  2. Tap Login. Use Register only if your business has no Shopwave account.

  3. Type your email.

  4. Type your password and sign in.

  5. Congratulations shows. Tap Continue.

  6. Allow the camera. The POS uses it for QR codes, loyalty and customer details.

  7. Read the Registration card and tap Ok.

  8. Step 1: choose a 4-digit ID.

  9. Step 2: choose a 4-digit PIN.

  10. Step 3: enter the same PIN again.

  11. Allow Bluetooth. The POS uses it for printers and card terminals.

What you should see

The sale screen opens on Basket 1 and LOADING PRODUCTS shows for a few seconds. Remember your ID and PIN. You need them every time you log in. See Log in with your user ID and PIN.

Good to know

  • The Registration card mentions a create an ID button. There is no such button. Tap Ok to carry on.
